Hi i know microsoft didn't design this program but i've
lost all hope in finding a patch for this program at the
intervideo site. I bought my laptop in june it it came
with everything i needed including a dvd player (with
decoder) up until the past few weeks everything has bn
going fine untill i see a slight slow down in the
computer considering it has a 2.5 p4 chip this shouldn'y
be happening. also the my dvd decoder has desided not to
work and keeps jamming before reading the dvd (very
anonying!!) If you have any advice it would be a great
help

Sounds like the registry needs to be cleaned up and your
DVD player software uninstalled and re-installed.

You should be able to uninstall just the DVD Decoding program (WinDVD if
it's Intervideo) and then reinstall it.

Check your notebook manual but there is usually a way of reinstalling the
individual applications.
