Can't play a DVD

Hi, purchased XP Home edition, with cd-rw, and dvd
player. Used dvd player once, worked good. Cannot play
a dvd now. It goes to Windows Media, then pops up that
there is no decoder. I think I deleted it accidently. I
have used the Application restoration cd, it shows dvd
software as not installed. I have tried several times to
install, including using the intervideo DVD software cd.
It still shows as not installed, still cannot play dvd.
Cannot find anything with PowerDVD or WinDVD on pc. Help
is appreciated. Thank you

Look in your PC manual for instructions on how to reinstall individual
applications like WinDVD.
