I have Windows XP and when I try to connect to the internet the bowser will
start to load then window closes. The samething happens with AIM. Any ideas
on this.

You haven't given us enough information to help you. How do you connect
to the Internet - method and ISP? Did this ever work? If yes, what
changed? What version XP - Home or Pro - and what Service Pack level?

What does a scan with a current version (not earlier than 2003)
antivirus show? Make sure the virus definitions are updated and you
scan in Safe Mode. Have you done any scans for non-viral malware? If
so, what did you use and what were the results?

It happened after I installed SP2 for XP Home Edition. I'm using a Compaq
Presario 6000 computer. I uninstall SP2 and I can then open an internet
window. Went to HP web site but was unable to find a fix. It has something to
do with SP2. Thanks
