internet window size

I have recently purchased a laptop and when i open
internet explorer the text and pictures only appear on
half of my screen. I am sure this is only a setup problem
but i cannot figure out how to change it to full screen.
Any help would be appriciated.

Drag the IE window borders to fill the screen (do not maximize) and then
select File\Close. Next time you open IE, it will remember this setting.
