How come loading websites(expecially MSN.com would you
believe)using XP Pro has somewhat slowed down compared
with Windows 98SE? Do I need to configure something to
speed it up?

do you have sufficient RAM to run your Windows XP.
Windows XP needs at least 256 MB to run and go for at least 512 MB.
Is it only msn.com that slows you down or any other web site.
Check your computer for spyware by going to this web site www.lavasoftusa.com and then downloading the application ad-aware. this will remove all the spyware.
enable the firewall on your computer and make sure that your windows is upto date with patches and your virus scanner is also upto date.

Thanks for your reply Rajesh. The computer has 512MB RAM.
Basically, msn.com only. It takes time to load eventhough
we're using DSL.We didnt have this problem with Win98. We
now have 2 computers on XP Pro. They both have same the
problem shorlty after we installed XP Pro and hooked to
the internet via a router.I have downloaded all patches
already. Coincidence?
