Internet Shuts Down

My internet shuts down consistently on certain pages.
Other pages it remains active. Is there settings or
something that I can check on my computer to see why it
is doing this?

It completely shuts down the internet. It works at
opening the page, but it seems that as soon as it makes
the connection it completely exits my Internet Explorer.
I've contacted my internet service company and they have
checked things on their end and say it's not there, that
it must be my computer. But it only does this on some
pages. There's a website on celtic lore that I have
repeatedly tried to get into; it won't allow it; also on
the msn zone games, it will let me get into the puzzle
games and play them, but if I try to get into a word
game, it links and then closes out.

Well, I have disabled third-party brower extensions,
rebooted, downloaded BHODemon 1.0 (which reports it finds
no BHO's on the computer), this is not doing the trick.
Do you have any other ideas?

Hi Russ,

Try going to IE > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced Options and
disable third-party browser extensions.

If this works, use BHODemon to locate the offending Browser Helper
Object.

Good luck

Hi Russ,

You may not have a Java Virtual Machine installed.
Go here to check your Java:
http://www.bodo.com/javame.htm
If the page loads OK then the problem is elsewhere

If you don't have it, then download Sun's Java Machine
http://java.sun.com/getjava

Good luck

Did you ever get this problem figured out? I'm having the same problem in Internet Explorer under the XP Pro OS. I've tried everything I could find.
Thanks!
