Internet server woes

Hello,
I'm having a problem with WinXP(home) I have spack1
installed on a clean XP install.
When I connect to the internet with my dial-up
everything works OK for about 5 to 10 minutes, then I
loose ping and DNS to the internet. I can disconnect and
reconnect but the problem is still there! If I shut down
and restart I can again connect for a few minutes, but
then the same thing. Everything is still working and I
still have the connect icon, but there is no connection?
I have also tried two different dial ups and still have
the problem.

Can anyone shed some light here? At a loss.

depending on your connection, you may also want to check the hardware
settings such nic and hub.
