Internet script error

JAD I did some house keeping, clean out old compress files, to make space,
begin to get an internet script error message, with no entries. Can't get to
the IE7 page to check and see what's causing problem. Reinstalled IE7, using
Mozilla Firefox since IE7 would not work. Restarted and installed new IE7,
still get error, and now it will not let several updates install. Any ideas
short of reinstalling Windows? I would update, but system is old, not enough
memory for Vista. Operating with 512 mbs.

Try internet options,advanced tab,scroll to bottom,click on "reset to
default"
Also,in advanced,make sure disable script debugger is checked,and check
the box for "other" below it,uncheck the box "notify me of script errors"..
