internet problem

i can dial and connect to the internet but no programs can
use the internet. explorer doesn't work, msn messenger
doesn't work, and my virus scanner can't even update. i
called my isp and they don't know anything. can anyone
give some insight? tia
 
Proxy client installed on machine pointing to non existent proxy server?
Firewall configured to block all outgoing?

i've checked all of that. i've even tried a different
modem. same problem. there has to be something that i'm
missing other than the obvious.
 
I'm having the same problem. If you had any luck finding out what is the
problem
i would apriciate it. THX
