Internet pop up

I have cable modem and when I am on the internet I get all
kinds of Pop ups. How do I get rid of this interuption.

You can download any of the numerous popup blockers on the web, my personal
favorite right now is included with the Google toolbar 2.0

For me the easiest an safer way was to use netscape and leave internet
explorer fully not configured (or eventually with maximum security set).

Can use Mozilla for that.
