Internet pdf files display ok in Acrobat 8 but printing garbled

This problem only occurs on XP pc. I have a laptop with Vista Home Basic and
all documents print ok on the SAME printer. The same problem occurs using
Reader 9.

Garbled "texts" mean a problem with the "printing" font from Adobe.
The PDF might be using a font that you do not have.
 
Times Roman? :-) In any case, it happens with ANY document that I receive by
email or download from a web site.
