Acrobat false print error

Randy

I am running Windows XP Pro SP2, and also Acrobat 4.05 (admittedly an old
version) When I print andy file from any application to the acrobat print
driver (makes a PDF file) I get a printer error. I can then open the printer
and cancel the document. which actually created a PDF file with no problem.

I do not get the error on my laptop which has the same basic configuration.

Any ideas on how to eliminate the false error report.

You might try a third party solution for creating a PDF file through
printing. They all work similarly, though there are minor differences that
may make one more useful than another to you. Many are free or shareware.

One that comes to mind that is free and works for most purposes is
PDFcreator.

Sorry for the long delay.. I was out of town for the weekend then got sick

Any how the laptop is running the same version, and has now problem with
this

For most of what I need Acrobat for v 4.05 is perfectly adequate except for
this nusiance.

Yeah that could be a solution. The last time I tried a third party version,
several years ago it did not do a good job with images as I recall.

But maybe worth another try.
