Internet options mess

When I click on "internet options" GUI from the Control
Panel, "WordPad" program comes up! Looks like the
executables are associated with wordpad. How can I correct
this?
 
If you're sure that the CPL extensions are mis-associated (try others), then
see http://www.dougknox.com, Win XP Fixes, File Association Fixes, and
you'll find a fix for CPL file associations.
