Internet Gateway - how do I make it exist?

On my desktop (WinXP Pro SP1), I have in my Network Connections section a row
entitled Internet Connection (type: Internet Gateway). This allows me to
enable/disable when experiencing connectivity issues.

On my new laptop (WinXP Hed SP2), I don't have that row. This is problematic
because the laptop will not connect to the internet after achieving a
wireless connection unless I reboot the PC. I would rather just go into
Network Connections and enable the Internet Gateway. So how do I get the
Internet Gateway to appear?

Thanks,
-Jedi

1. Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows
Components.

2. In the Components list, click Networking Services, then click
Details.

3. Put a check mark in the "Internet Gateway Device Discovery and
Control Client" box.

3. Click OK > Next > Finish.

4. Reboot.
