Internet gateway disabled..

I have Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed on a Windows XP Professional.
Under Network Connections, it shows my Internet Gateway is disabled;
however, my router has UPnP enabled. Whenever I double click on the icon of
the internet gateway, it would say Connecting and then Connected, but it
still shows that it's Disabled. Why?

Maybe the drivers haven't loaded yet.
I have to disable the Lan. Then I re-enable the Lan
That usually triggers the Internet Gateway as enabled for me.

I have the exact same problem. I was told by Linksys it is a firmware problem
and they are working on a fix. I'm using a BEFW11S4 version #2 router with
firmware revision 1.45.10.
