internet explorer

i cannot get ie to open, ive tried to redo the settings and even did a system restore....also did a virus scan and treid to redownload IE6 but the microsoft site says I have the most up-to-date version and service packs, yet i still cannot get it to run.....any ideas or suggestions

start,control panal,internet connections,internet options
,advanced,uncheck'enable third party browser extensions',apply.
now run spybot safer-networking.org
ad-aware lavasoftusa.com

and use a better browser like mozilla.org firefox

I'm having the same problem, the only way I can get IE to
open is by right-clicking on the IE icon and
selecting "Run As". Then I select the administrator
account, enter the pass and it works. For me, this
problem started after removing the coolwebsearch crap
from my computer.

You may not have removed all of the malware.
From the affected user account, work through the solutions (CWShredder,
Ad-aware, Spybot) at
