I hope I am missing something elementary. Is it possible to search
FAVORITES. I know I can do it from 'explorer' but I would thing you can do
it from Internet Explorer.

Can I open a FAVORITES search field?

I don't quite know what you are trying to convey, But there is a tab on
favorites in IE6 which lets you manipulate the favorites. It's called
"organize favorites" it lets you move/rename and other things.

Is this what you're after?

Hope it helps.

Regards,

I am aware of organize favorities. But I do not know how to search 'my'
favorites.
I can do it outside of IE; e.g., START->FAVORITES explore SEARCH. Can I do
that inside InternetExplorer?

In the address field, if I type "? something" the default search engine
kicks in. Why not have a symbol that search your favorities. I do give an
alias to my favorities but lets say I want to find all my ".Net" favorities.

In firefox it is more manageable. I click on Bookmarks->ManageBookmarks. A
panel pops up that contains a search field. You can not use regular
expressions but as you type a word a collection of bookmarks dynamically
appears in the right hand panel. As you continue to type the collection of
bookmarks gets smaller.

I am not criticising IE, I just want to make sure I am not missing a feature
that would let me easily search my favorities. Even in firefox I wonder if
there is a keystroke combination that brings up the Bookmarks manager.

Perhaps there is an addon that adds a bookmark / favorites search field.
