Internet Explorer XP not opening

I got a message on my computer that says internet explorer
has discovered a problem and needs to close down. Sorry
for the inconvenience. you can either hit the button to
send the error or don't send. I must have hit it 50 times,
because I cannot go onto Internet explorer at all, it
knocks me right out. I can get IM from my buddy list. I
called my internet provider who said it wasn't them, to
call Microsoft, who sent me to Dell, who sent me to open
up Aol and try and download Internet Explorer on line. I
tried that, I don't know what actual download gives you
Internet Explorer, there are many downloads but none
specific to reprogramming my Internet Explorer. What I did
download did not work. What am I to do?? I cannot get on
line with Internet Explorer. Please help me. I have no one
that I know that knows about computers. My dell is 1 year
3 months old. I was getting many pop ups prior to this

ot sounds like you may have a bug or two. don't know how
to repair ie, don't know if there an easy way. a
workaround might be to go to the mozilla site and
download thier broswer its free, its also a standalone,
then you can get around a bit. and don't put your e-mail
address on a site like this, you invite trouble.
