Internet Explorer won't open

I cannot get onto Internet Explorer. I have a cable
modem and it works for other downloads, so I know that it
is no a modem problem but a software problem. Internet
Explorer won't connect to the internet. Anyone have a
suggestion.
 
have you been hijacked? to open ie, start ,control
panal,internet connections,internet,advanced,uncheck'enable
3rd party browser extensions', apply.. download spybot
from safer-networking.org and update ,scan on easy and
remove junk.
