Internet explorer window size

When I open IE 6.0 it always gives me a small window even
though I maximize it each time I use it, it doesn't ever
save those settings. The other two users on this machine
do not have this problem.

Hi Liz,

This is a common workaround - note that IE usually opens at the same size
that the last window was closed at.

Open just one IE window to the small size. Grab the corners and stretch it
to the maximum size. Do NOT use the maximize button. Then depress and hold
the <ctrl> key and close the window by using file/exit, not the "x" in the
corner.

IE should now open in the full window. If not, try again, this time using
the <shift> key.

Liz;
Close all instances of IE except one. Use the double-headed arrow to drag
it to max size (not the maximize button). Close it using File/Close.

Thanks for the suggestion, but this did not take care of
the problem.

Hello Dave;
How goes it for you? I forgot to mention the Ctrl key when closing part. I
have to use this once in a while myself. Works with other windows too.

Liz;
Did you read Rick's post? I forgot to mention that when you close, you
should hold down the Control key at the same time you click Close.
Or try this: Right click the shortcut you use to open IE. You may have to
right click the IE shortcut on your Start Menu. Click Properties/Shortcut
tab/click the "V" next to Run: to expand/highlight Maximized/click Apply/click
OK.

Hi Wes, nice to see you and thanks for the added tip.My learning curve is
going up thanks to you and others.
May you always have tail winds.
Dave

Dave;
I, too, am constantly learning, thanks to many others and my own many
mistakes.
May the road rise to meet you.

Alternatively, you could try:
Start>All Programs>Rt. click Internet Explorer>Properties>
Stroll Run to Maximized>Apply>OK.
