Internet Explorer Utility

Can anyone recommend a good Internet Explorer utility? I need a utility that
will remove the internet options applets like "security" and "privacy."

I have used Doug Knox's XP security tool. It's not the greatest tool. It's
very buggy and I know there has got to be something better.

I would like recommendations.

Thanks

Hi Ryan,

You can disable the various tabs in the Internet Options dialog box via
group policy - no need for a 3rd party utility.

1. Access Group Policy editor via Start->Run->gpedit.msc
2. Open Computer Configuration->Administrative Templates->Windows
Components->Internet Explorer
3. Double click the policy relating to the tab you want to disable(e.g. to
disable the Security page double click the 'Disable the Security page'
policy), select Enabled and click ok.
4. Close Group Policy editor.

The above obviously only applies to an indiviual PC - if you want to disable
the Internet Option tabs for a number of pc's in a domain environment you
would need to create a policy using either Active Directory or the Group
Policy Management Console on your domain controller.

Hope this helps.

Jim
