Utility For Delaying Loading Programs Into Memory

T

tb

I am running Windows XP Professional SP3.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a utility (freeware) that allows me to
specify the order and at what time a program loads into memory? I am
talking about all those programs that show up in the System Tray area.

A search through the Internet brings up several utilities. I am just
wanting to know if anyone has a specific recommendation.

Thanks.

Use WinPatrol. It includes a delayed start module that is fully configurable
time wise.

I would be curious to know what you effect you are trying to achieve.

I have never cared about the way my single program (my wireless
adapter) shows up but I only have one thing that shows up and that is
on purpose, all I care about and I don't even worry about that. Are
you talking about the Notification Area on the Taskbar to the left of
the system time?

Do you think things need to load in some particular sequence for
everything to work okay, you want it to look differently, you want to
change the order of items in the display, you think there are too
many, etc.
