Internet Explorer takes 40 seconds to load. Tried changing start
location to \System 32\dllcache but no difference. Anyone know how to
speed up load time?

1. Click Start, Run, type Control Inetcpl.cpl.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Under Browsing, click to clear the Enable third-party browser extensions
(requires restart) check box.
4. Restart Internet Explorer.

Does that speed-up things? If so, the problem was most likely caused by a
browser add-on (BHO or a Toolbar) which you need to isolate.

Yes, that worked just fine! Thanks! Since I don't use IE for my
default browser, I DON'T THINK I've installed any of those. I have
added BHO's to Mozilla though. I would imagine one or more of those
could have attached to IE also. How would I find it (them)? Is it
really necessary since I only use IE on sites that are too lazy to
code for Mozilla?

Use BHODemon or ToolbarCop to isolate the problem.

ToolbarCop can be downloaded from:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4126.html. Or, get BHODemon from
http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm may find the offending
program/BHO.

BHODemon is no longer available at this site. Provider says he had a
house fire! I found it at: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3550.html
I have sent you an email concerning your Toolbar Cop program. Thanks
for the help.
