Internet explorer problem

I have a Compaq Presario 6330us. I have high speed internet cable connection, my problem is when I click on my home page and
start surfing the different web pages and when I am in the middle of accessing some info fro the web site a dialog box pops up
stating : Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close, please tell Microsoft about this problem, when I click send
and click close it shuts down the site that I was working on. I hope someone can help me with this problem. Thank you, Bill
 
Check the WindowsXP Updater, it looks like you may need to update especially
in the IE (Internet Explorer) area.
