OK folks, someone please help me out here!

Just suddenly the other day ( I've had my Dell inspiron for 3 weeks
now, WindowsXP) Internet Explorer stopped being able to open webpages
in separate windows, and I cant open 2 different Internet Explorers at
the same time. What a bummer! Cant figure this one, and yes the box
is UNCHECKED for "reuse windows" in the tools->internet
options->advanced section. Anyone with any experience in this please
help me out!!!

Thanks,

Dan

Install any third party toolbars?

Iif you have Yahoo Companion, Google toolbar, MSN toolbar, a firewall,
Earthlink (or another pop-up blocker) My IE2 (a shell for IE) etc.
Yahoo Companion is a very common cause.

You'll have to turn off the feature that's blocking new windows or, perhaps,
uninstall the program (especially uninstall Yahoo Companion).

With some programs of this type, using Ctrl+click or Shift+click will allow
a new window.

Open Windows Explorer.
Go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types.
Scroll down to URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol and select it.
Click Edit or Advanced, depending on your Windows version.
Select 'open'.
Click Edit.
Try clearing "Use DDE"

If you're *sure* that another program isn't causing this, these links may
help.
