internet explorer not fully loading pages

installed XP today ran all the updates etc. and on some web pages like msn
and zone.com it will not fully download the page,. will say opening http:/ or
one item remaining. firewall is disabled in XP, running norton firewall but
even w norton disabled the page will not load. cookies are enabled been
through everything i can think of and out of ideas. thanks.
 
Did you empty your cache? In IE, tools, Internet Options, delete files...
 
cache cleared still doing the same thing, tried uninstalling ie updates and
reinstalling. have an ie 6 install on disk tried installin that, nada.
checked settings cookise allowed. nothing works.
