Internet Explorer is unable to download from certain sites

I'm having trouble downloading from certain sites with
IE6, with the following message:

"Internet Explorer cannot download ____ (filename) from
the ____ (site).
Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet
site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot
be found. Please try again later."

Any suggestions???

Try this fix.
Error Message: "Internet Explorer Cannot Download a File"
When you try to download a file with Internet Explorer from a Web server,
you may receive the following error message:
"Internet Explorer cannot download FileName from WebServer."
