internet explorer has encountered and needs to close

Just a quick question...i frequently get the error message but the modName is
unknown, the modVer is 0.0.0.0 and offset is 00000000
 
nothing seems to happen a black screen pops up and then goes again in a
matter of a second.

It either ran and found no problem, or there was an error message that
flashed up too fast to see.

Click Start, Run, type:

CMD (press Enter)

Now type:

SFC /SCANNOW (press Enter)

... and see if there's an error.
