internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to shut down

Help! I keep getting this error page about 99% of the time that I try to load
an internet explorer page. The send error page report locks up on me too.
I've tried to download the windows service pack 2,but it stops because I no
longer have the back up CD for Frontpage and it asks me to put in the CD. I
can't get it from my ex..:( It was the one Dell gives you when you have them
install stuff on a new machine.I also ordered PC bug doctor . They found 1140
errors, mostly in short cuts, but their scan and fix didn't help so that was a
waste of $19.95. I've tried scanning my computer for diagnostic tests when I
booted it...all tests were good and successful. It doesn't appear to be a
problem with the computer, because msn explorer works fine. I've only had one
time they had a box come up today that said they excountered a problem, but I
don't like msn explorer and want to use my internet explorer 6 . I love it
and have all my favorites over there from the past 3 years. ....any
suggestions.
