Internet Explorer has encountered a problem

IE regularly keeps crashing and reports the following error "IE has
encountered a problem and needs to close down". I don't get this problem if I
brose the net via MSN Explorer. Has anybody got any solutions or can they
recommend a download to solve this problem???

See if the following will help:

In addition to updating and running your AV, download, install and run the
programs below in Safe Mode with Hidden Files enabled (instructions at sites
posted at the end of this list). Some forms of malware can replicate itself
repeatedly if not removed properly, so even if you have already run some
programs, run them again according to the information below. Follow all
instructions carefully:

First, Clear the TIF's and empty the recycle bin:

(The TIF size should be set to 50-60 MB. Larger caches tend to be more prone
to trouble)

3. OPTIONAL: Spybot v1.3 (RTFM; Immunize first and then scan; Generally, fix
everything in red)

Important: You must seek updates for Ad-Aware and Spybot before each and

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
