The first thing to do is ensure the computer is 100% virus/malware-free.
Go through these steps systematically:
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

After you've done that, if the computer is still giving you the errors
then post back. Include how you connect to the Internet (method and
ISP), what version/service pack level your XP is, and what changed
between the time things worked and the time they didn't.

Hi Thanks for the info but I tried the malware remover spybot adaware but
I'm still getting the error. I have norton system works but that does not
help either. I think it might have happened when I down loaded a update I
had to do on Lord Of the Rings game. Not 100% sure but seems it had a few
weeks ago. This really makes it hard to look at any pages for help because
it keeps poping up with this error and closes at the pages that I'm on .
HElP me please Thanks Polly

You have to go through the steps listed at the link I gave you. Simply
running Spybot without doing any of the preparatory work isn't helpful.
Take the machine to a professional computer repair shop (not your local
version of BigStoreUSA) and have them clean it up. There is no shame in
admitting that computer repair isn't your cup of tea.
