Empty your cache, it maybe full and IE can't access them, in IE, tools, Internet
Options, delete files. If you cannot open IE, on the desktop, right-click the IE
icon, properties, delete files.

Ok, I have the same problem, I regularly empty cache and the cookies that I don't want. IE still freeze's as it did before. ANy other suggestions?? I know that without sitting at this computer it would be hard to know what else maybe effecting IE. Any suggestions would be helpful. I also run Window Washer to help clean up my system too

Check your temporary internet files. Do a search for *.jpg and *.gif (I
once found several thousand before I learned to clean them out). You can
usually clean them out with IE Tools Internet Settings Delete Files check
all offline content. Also defrag your hard disk.
