Internet Explorer error

I put my computer on Stand By and ate dinner, then when I got back on, I
coulnd't use MSN nor Internet Explorer because an error occurred. This error
states about flash8.ocx was running and I could choose to send error report.
After restarting computer, it doesn't happen anymore. Why did this happen?

Event Properties:

Faulting application iexplore.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module
flash8.ocx, version 8.0.22.0, fault address 0x0002afb6.
