Internet Explorer Error Page

The regular error page that says

Page could not be shown.

or Error 101 or something like that.



Now it says internet Optimizer. I think it's some sort of adware thing. HOw
can I get rid of it? Every time the site doesn't work, I get sent to this
crappy search engine.

If it is due to Adware:-
Download and run Adware -http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

if it is due to spyware:-
download and run spybot:-
http://beam.to/spybotsd

To correct internet explorer:-
start >Run >type sfc\ scannow > ok
 
Still doesn't work.

What did you mean by:
