Internet explorer cannot open internet site

Every time I click on the IE icon, I get this message "internet explorer
cannot open internet site. Operation aborted." on my HOME page (which is
Yahoo).

Anyone know why and how to rectify that. Appreicate.

Try again in 12+ hours or more. Others have been running into the same
before in the last 24 hours or so then find the problem clears up
automagically.

Check your third party addons.

Try this:

In IE, Click Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced Tab -> under Settings,
uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions"(Takes effect after yuou
restart IE). After you uncheck that option, try to cause the error. If the
error goes away, it was an add-on problem. Now, once you know it is an
add-on you can reanble add-ons and then disable them one by one in Tools ->
Manage Addons to find the offending culprit. You may want to start with
Skype if you have it.

Yes. The problem lies with Skype add-on (mastermind). It goes away after
disabling it.
