Internet Explorer does not display Japanese characters properly

My Internet Explorer sometimes has trouble displaying Japanese characters on
..html type sites, even though they work fine on .jis sites. I downloaded
Japanese language support, but it didn't help. Does anybody know how to fix
this?

Probably you need to change the encoding for those pages.
