Internet Explorer automatically tries to access the web when I don't want it to

Michael

For some reason, I am constantly getting the box for
connecting to the internet -- repeatedly on starting up my
computer (my Norton Internet Security and Anti-Virus won't
even load until after I hit "Cancel" on the remote
connection box), and every time I try to access a Word
document. It's as if any program that I try to access
first tries to access the internet. I have re-installed
Internet Security, and the same thing seems to happen. I
have also scanned repeatedly for a virus or a trojan
horse, and the result is always negative, even though I've
received quite a few e-mails that were infected and the
attachments were automatically deleted. Is there some
Internet Explorer setting that I might change to correct
the problem?

I have been experiencing the same problem. Did you ever
get a solution?

Bill
