Internet Explorer 7 cannot save my settings

Hi I have just downloadad and installed IE7, and when I open the internet the
page says
Thank you for choosing Internet Explorer 7, Settings were not able to be
saved sucesfully.
It works o.k. bu it will not save my home page so every time I surf I get
this annoying page.
Please could someone help me with this

Just a suggestion - d/l a different browser FireFox , Opera ,
different one ; IE appears to be troublesome ( I use it very rarely )
..
