Internet Explorer 6 Issue

I get this message no matter what site I go to:

opening page res://c:\windows\system32\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm. I am on XP

Home Edition and successfully connected to my network, but yet I cannot view
web pages. Any suggestions? I have tried everything. I know the DNS is
accurate.

First eliminate any spyware.
What You Should Know About Spyware
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/devioussoftware.mspx

CAUTION!!!!! Before you try to remove spyware using any of these programs ,
download a copy of LSPFIX from any of the following sites:
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
http://www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html
(if your OS is Win2k or XP) The process of removing certain malware may kill
your internet connection. If this should occur, this program, LSPFIX, will
enable you to regain your connection.

See
Dealing with Unwanted Malware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

I tried all of your suggestions. I ran the Adaware and picked off a bunch.
The LSPFIX did not find anything and neither did the CWShredder. I have put
30 pc's on this same network with no problem other than this one. So
confused.

Hi Funk :)

"> I tried all of your suggestions. I ran the Adaware and picked off a
bunch.

30 pc's on this same network with no problem other than this one. So

You have a nasty hijacker. Did you install, run and post your HiJackThis
log as instructed? . The information Frank provided will get rid of it.

For information about your error, see here. Just follow the instructions
there to get rid of it.
http://forums.designtechnica.com/showthread.php?threadid=6337
and
http://computercops.biz/postp274705.html

Also, LSPFIX is not a scumware removel tool it is to repair connectiveity if
you lose Internet connection due to spyware removeal . Thus, it will not
find any malware.

If these steps do not resolve your problem, or you need help with the above,
please post back to this thread with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps

Jan :)
