Internet explorer 6 error message

Hello,
I get this error message frequently. I downloaded and
installed the latest service pack, but no changes occured.

Eroor message is
"Iexplorer
This program has performed an illegal operation and will
be shut down.
If the problem persists, contact the program vendor"

What is the best soultion. Help is much appreciated

There should be a Details button or a blue link to details, an error report
of more information. If it's a Details button give us the first two lines.
If it's a blue link give us AppName, AppVer, ModName and ModVer.
