Problems with Internet Explorer 6

J

Jack Ray

When exiting Internet Explorer, I get a message that
says "This program has performed an illegal operation and
will be shut down. If problem persists contact program
vendor". The window with this message will not go away
and I have to shut down the computer to get rid of it.
There is a place in the message to ask for a "report" and
when I click that I am informed that something has
happened in reference to "KERNEL32.DLL".

I downloaded a new copy of Internet Explorer hoping that
anything corrupted would be replaced, but the problem
persists.
