Internet Explorer 6.0

I am using Internet Explorer version 6.0.2800.1106.
Quite often when I am browsing the internet, IE will close
out for some unknown reason and take me back to the desktop.
This does not happen everytime, but often enough to make it
very annoying.

Are there settings that I need to change.

Please help.

IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit is with these
tools.
