Internet Explorer 6.0 question

Hi:

When I open up IE 6.0 on my desktop and then minimize it
to my toolbar, I want to open another instance of IE 6.0
but the same minimized IE window re-opens. I want to open
two WebSites at once. Why is my open IE 6.0 being used
when I try to open another IE 6.0 browser?

Thanks.

Try FireFox web browser. It uses tabbed browsing. Meaning you can open
multiple web pages, on separate tabs, in only one window. No need to open
multiple windows. Once you experience tabbed browsers you'll never go back.

I will look into this, but any idea what has changed from
one day to the next? I ran Norton antivurus and Ad-Aware
6.0 and everything is clean. Nothing hijacked.
Previously, I could minimize an IE 6.0 open browser,
select another IE 6.0 shortcut on my desktop, and another
instance of IE 6.0 in another browser window would open.

Thanks.

not sure if this will work, but you can restore your IE expolorer default
settings by going to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced and then click Restore
Defaults at the bottom.

I haven't used IE in about a year, so I'm not sure. Maybe someone in the IE
group has a fix for you.

Because there is a check in the box that says to reuse windows for
launching shortcuts.

Go to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced, and Uncheck the box.
