Internet Explorer 6.0 does not dispay anything

Whenever I open up IE 6.0 it displays ' "cannot find server"
then please try...' whenever i type in a web address,
hinting that maybe the connection is bad...however i copied
the netscape navigator.exe on to a floppy disk, opened it
up, and was able to browse the web freely....

so i know that its not the connection...i also uninstalled
it and reinstalled it... and have run multiple virus scans
and spyware searches using symantec and spybot respectively..

anyone have any suggestions??...thanks

I'm getting the same thing ,tried everything.I have

netscape and it works fine. Thought this I.E. thing was me
but you are the forth personI've seen this from in 3
nights.Sorry I can help but maybe it's microsoft keep
thinking I'll hear some news or an answer. Milt
