Internet Explorer 6.0 -application error

Hello,
When I start my system with OS windows XP Pro, Service pack 2-
after clicking on the user name and the Background image and all icons
including the start Button is loaded, Explorer.Exe - Application error occurs
- Message says - The instruction at "0x10017129" referenced memory at
"0x00000000". The Memory could not be "written".

Click on OK terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program.

What is this error how it is caused. How to resolve this error.

system. It is not an IE problem, but rather a Windows Explorer problem.
