Internet Disconnection & can't Backup

HELP!

I have two problems I can't seem to rectify:




1) Everytime we switch users, our internet connection is
disconnected. Why? How can we fix it?

2) We can't backup any files using the backup tool becuae
we keep getting told paths are invalid/insufficient
authority. We are all administrators. Why? How can we fix
it?

We don't know much about computers, so please don't
baffle us with jargon. Desperately needing help!!!!
