Internet connection

Using Windows XP - when I connect to the internet my
connection lasts about 3-4 minutes then an error message
shows saying "NT Authority/system - Windows will close
down in 60 seconds...." and shuts down the computer and re-
starts. This only happens when connected to the net. Any
help would be hreatly appreciated.
