Internet Connection Sharing - scripts/security problem?

maddening

My wife has Win 98 running on her PC. She accesses the Internet via my

PC (which is running XP Pro).

When she accesses certain web sites she can't seem to access some
'secure' pages (although apparently her home banking is fine).

For example, take a look at these sites:

http://www.homefarmhampers.co.uk/

and:

http://www.kaysnet.com

When she clicks on the 'Check your account' button on the Hampers site

the PC just sits there - the blue progress bar at the bottom of the IE

window builds slowly and stops, and she can't get anywhere. If you
wait for a few minutes then you get 'The Page Cannot be displayed'
error.

Windows Update won't work correctly either - it gets to the status
window, displays 0% and then just sits there. On going into the task
manager I see that the program has stopped responding and I need to
kill it off.

As indicated above, I've played with the security settings plus I've
also deleted all cookies, temporary Internet files, etc.

Any thoughts please anyone?

We moved house a couple of weeks ago and apparently it was fine before

then. The only thing that has changed is the link between her PC and
mine - we used to have some LAN cards with a bit of co-ax cable. We
now have two new wireless cards which appear to work just fine (maybe
the installation of these cards made some changes to the network
config that I've missed?).

The only thing that we've noticed (and which was also present with the

old config of two LAN cards) is that accessing sites can be a bit
sluggish, ie between typing in the URL/selecting the link and the time

it takes for the page to start appearing is a bit slow. File transfers

are fine. File sharing is fine. Printer sharing is fine (the printer
hangs off her Win '98 PC).

Any thoughts please? Do we have an IE problem, maybe with scripting,
etc? Or is the problem maybe down to my XP machine?

Thanks

Any ideas please anyone? I've spent hours on this problem and it's
driving me nuts. :-(

Thanks
