Internet active icon

I have XP Pro,
I have just reinstalled after a format and do not have the two PC icon that
lights up when the
Internet is active.

How do I get this icon back?

Right-click "Network Connections" icon on the Desktop > select "Properties"

right-click the "Local Area Connection" icon > select "Properties" > check

the "Show icon in notification area when connected" checkbox.
