Internet access is slow with wireless adapter

I have two Dell laptops one with Windows 98 and the other
with Win 2000. Both use D-Link 650+ wireless adapters. I
have successfully setup D-Link router.

The problem is, the laptop with Windows 98 works amazingly
fast whereas the laptop with Win 2000 chokes. The laptop
with with Win 2000 has more memory and faster CPU. I have
applied service pack four but no use so far. Any help is
really appreciated.

ok but what is the signal strength on the win 200 mahcine
for the wirles card doe sit sya -signal strenght very good
or poor etc ..you should see this in the task bar when u
first connect to the wirless router form the 2000 mahcine
maybe try this -stop and then start the - wirless zero
configuration service on win2k
